Lessons for Desperation

Some months ago we were clubbing together in one of the biggest clubs in Africa, it was fun hanging out with friends, but as usual the yahoo guys in life were always there to intimidate you with the amount of liquor they purchased. For many hours we endured their oppression, but suddenly some of us felt it was enough, we felt we were being cheated since it was our contributions that kept this club running.
We weren’t happy with the Club manager; we felt deceived and neglected, and considering the fact that we all formed the board that appointed him to look after the club it made matters worse.

Suddenly, we started seeing bad in everything the Club Manager did, we felt he wasn’t giving us enough liquor. We started seeing how weak he was in controlling this club. We saw how the yahoo guys snatched our babes, and how they spend our contributions lavishly, we know the Club manager was aware of these happenings but he never said anything. He kept mute to our complaints and acted like the wine was still sweet, even when everything was going sour.
We felt he was too weak to manage the club, and not just that, He was too weak to the extent that he offered us weak drinks whenever we came around. All he gave us was 8 and 10% liquor and most of my pals weren’t happy with that.
We needed something stronger in this club; something as strong as core Vodka, Red Label, AK 47 and their ilk, and even when we complained, the Dark Club Manager didn’t bulge, instead his nagging wife came after us, firing word shots here and there. We endured it all.
Somehow, we felt there were so many lies in the management of the club and we were sure the manager knew this, he may not be culpable but at least he was aware and he did nothing.
We needed a Club as intact as Truth and we needed someone as tactful and invisible as Ghost to be the Club Manager.
So the conspiracy to evict the Club Manager started.
We couldn’t even find an option for replacement, but we needed someone that would be strong enough to give us stronger liquor and truthful enough to cut the lies, we picked one man because of his pedigree in being strong and truthful. Somehow he looked good because he had handled guns before and he should have the kind of heart we needed.
The Conspiracy was a huge one, a lot of persons were betrayed, a lot of money were looted and spent. Even my friends invested their little to ensure that we removed this weak Manager. Muruako Emmanuel, Ifesi Andy Muoneme, and Chukwuemerie Uduchukwu invested everything they had like they were about to buy a treasure, or so they thought.
Few months of words and war, and a new club manager emerged. Quietly the weak club manager quietly accepted defeat unlike what we expected, and he packed and joined us at the regular stand. Surprisingly, his actions were recognized by other clubs who offered him VIP sections.
A year and few months down, things are no longer what we expected. We are already tired of the party. This New manager hired ineffective staff and placed a degreed* scholar in lies as his PRO. Chai, we are getting the strong drink we wanted but now we are tired of it. The liquor is so much that we feel we are being drugged.
This man mixes, Ak 47, Red Label, and any vodka you can remember and serves us. He even invented his kind of vodka that measures over 100% of alcohol. I think my friends are regretting, because this wasn’t what they expected.
They failed to heed to the warnings of Martin Beck Nworah; he warned them that you don’t pick an old dude from the street and ask him to manage a club as big as this, and expect him to compete favourably with other clubs around. These man doesn’t have the ghost characteristics to run a dope business as this club.
Franklin Okechukwu Onwubiko, Kings Morgan Ugo, Frank Umeadi, Frank 'Susu' Okafor and Ejemegwa Isaac Dominic were among those that cared less, nothing about the club really bothered them, because somehow their businesses thrive well in those unfair circumstances, cos without those scenarios there wouldn't be breaking news and all that.
Prince Neche, Paschal MC Mmiri Nadi, didn't bother as well, they made joke out of everything, even the stealing of over two hundred and fifty something skirts from the club was among their biggest jokes.
It’s one thing to know what to do but fail to them, at least that’s what we got from the former manager, but what we are getting now is worse. The situation is that of not even knowing what to do talk more of how to do them, and keep yelling to anyone who cares to hear that you are doing them.
We finally got a strong man, but I guess we are now too weak to handle his strength. We have realised that our head is probably too weak to carry the strong liquor we had wanted. We have cried as much as we can, yet nothing has changed.
The truth is that he gave us what he promised, but the problem was we misunderstood his promises. And now we are eager to get a new manager, but the thought that we still have 3 more hours to spend in this club under this manager nauseates me.
We have learnt our lessons, we were so desperate to correct what we wrote and out of desperation we got an answer probably worse.
